Huge multinational corporations are expected to contribute to cultural and community organizations in the cities where they do business. EDS, headquartered in Dallas, routinely purchased ads for the Dallas Symphony. Rather than resize one of its existing corporate ads, EDS wanted to create an ad that demonstrated the humanity behind the logo. Hence, this symphony ad. I wrote dozens of ads like this during my first years as a copywriter, but this was one I truly loved.
